Freezing Bananas

Why waste perfectly ripe bananas? It’s so easy to freeze them and then use them in smoothies or to make banana bread at a later date.

Here’s how:

  1. Peel the bananas and then slice them lengthwise in half and then into smaller sections.
  2. Place the slices on wax paper covering a baking pan.
  3. Freeze them for 2 hours and then separate them into containers.

I suggest containers made from silicone. Target has an excellent selection. Here are two small containers that would be perfect for storing slices of bananas.
